Sobre as formas exteriores e em particular a envolvente à habitação, escritório ou loja a máxima é: nunca deve ter formas pontiagudas a apontar para si. No exterior temos de considerar quinas de edificios, postes eléctricos/ de iluminação, arvores muito altas, plantas com folhas pontiagudas. Protegermo-nos destas “setas venenosas” é muito importante para a nossa saúde, riqueza e felicidade.

On the outer forms and in particular the surrounding environment of our home, office or shop: should never have pointed shapes turning to it. Outside we have to consider building corners, electricity poles / public lighting, very high trees or plants with spiky leaves. Protect ourselves these "poisonous arrows" is very important for our health, wealth and happiness.

Ainda nas cozinhas. O layout.

Existem três áreas fundamentais: area de fogão/ fornos; área de lavagem/preparação; área de frigorifico; área de mercearia. Em Feng Shiu algumas destas áreas pertencem a elementos diferentes e com uma relação destrutiva: fogão/forno é Fogo, o lava loiça/frigorifico/ arca congeladora são Água. Se estas energias não forem harmonizadas a cozinha tornar-se-à o caos a que muitas vezes a associamos. Para fazer a harmonização devem ser incluidas formas ou cores de terra e de metal.

There are three key areas: stove/oven; washing/ prep; fridge/ grossery. For Feng Shiu these areas belong to different elements and they have a destructive relationship: stove/ oven are Fire, dish washer / fridge / freezer are Water. If these energies are not harmonized the kitchen will become the chaos that we often associate to a kitchen.To harmonize we must includ Earth and Metal colors/ shapes.

Mesa posta para o verão. Para esta nova coleção de porcelana desenvolvida pela Vista Alegre, a Christian Lacroix imaginou uma decoração de exuberância tropical. Flores, penas, samambaias e libelinhas posam ao estilo de um herbário barroco sobre um conjunto de porcelana branca com recortes e frisos, evocando os bordados ingleses imaculados das anáguas vestidas pelas belas de Salvador da Bahia.

A reabilitação urbana, a humanização do espaço citadino equivale sempre à reconstrução de uma comunidade, e à criação de uma identidade comum que possa unir essa comunidade e seja promotora da sua segurança e prosperidade.

No entanto, os meios e a capacidade de renovar são divergentes de cidade para cidade e de bairro para bairro. Reabilitar fica caro, implica mudanças nos hábitos e modos de vida impondo novos valores que os habitantes, muitas vezes,  tem dificuldades em incorporar. A arte é por isso uma dimensão fundamental na reabilitação e nas partes mais pobres das cidades a arte pode mesmo salvar.

Urban regeneration, humanizing the city space is like reconstructimg a community, and creating a common identity that can unite that community and promote its security and prosperity.

However, the means and the ability to renew are different from city to city and from neighborhood to neighborhood. Rehabilitating is expensive, requires changes in habits and ways of life, it imposes new values that the inhabitants often have difficulties in incorporating. Art is therefore a fundamental dimension in the rehabilitation and in cities poorer parts art can really save.

O aproveitamento de sotãos para habitação é muitas vezes uma necessidade. No entanto, trazem imensos desafios no aproveitamento do espaço (que na maioria das vezes não é muito) e na disposição do mobiliário de modo a que a ocupação das divisões não seja nocivo para os seus habitantes. Falamos de bom feng shui. em que o grande desafio será num espaço pequeno evitar angulos, arestas e vigas tão comuns nos sotãos e conseguir adequar a posição de assentos e camas às direções favoráveis da pessoa que ali vai viver..

The use of attics or lofts is often a necessity. However, they bring enormous challenges in the use of space (which is most often not much) and the allocate of furniture so that the room occupation  is not harmful to its inhabitants. We talk about good feng shui, where the big challenge will be in a small space avoiding sharp corners, edges and beams so common in lofts and figer out the position of seats and beds to favorable directions for the person living in there ..
